December, 2006 :
Life, you can miss it if you don't open your eyes.
The year is drawing to a close and the process of transition to another one is underway, time well spent in ending this and starting something new.
"I've been expecting you"
The hope of a new year, and resolutions of change and improvement, once again dominate our thoughts. It seems so simple, run up to years end and reset, fresh start, new attitude and bright shiney boots.
"This time"
Well, this time is right now, the time to change should be immediate, not some stroke of midnight at the end of a time period, right now.
Now.
I see so many people losing their life to something that, at the end of the period, is really not that important.
It could be the urge to climb the corporate ladder, at any cost to friendship or the constant drive to fill a life with meaningless objects that represent wealth and the healthiness of ones own personal economy.
I'm guilty of the latter to some extent, if I'd realised that stuff wasn't that important twenty years ago then I'd be retired by now, living a peaceful life, maybe writing that book I'm always threatening and finding new ways to experience this very special event.
The event being life my invisible friends.
It's the possession you will have the longest and something you will never miss when it's gone, but you may regret your decisions along the way when the vacation is almost over.
If you blink, you may miss it.
Happy New year everybody.
Take care, bring peace and always be a positive force in whatever you undertake.
